“On Point”

The last image from the dance shoot last week. This image was captured at an old abandoned concrete plant. I chose these steps for the angles and texture. anything you photograph in this building seems to lose the color as everything is covered with old concrete dust. I just loved the old ballet shoes on the old rusty steps and the angles that were created by the handrails. This is a single raw file processed in Lightroom 4 and then tweaked in Topaz Adjust 5.

“More From Live Oak”

A couple more shots from the dancers shoot last week at the Live Oak home. The one on the stairs was lit with a single speedlight in a 60″ umbrella from above. the one in the corner was natural light and at 3200 ISO. A big thank you to Kelly and Gus for their patience and putting up with all the dust and dirt. We really had a blast and came out with some great images. Shoots like these are basically a crap shoot in terms of planning, you can think of things you want to accomplish but you have to go with the flow. You never really know what you will come up against.
