Come join me in my favorite place. I have been working in this area for 6 years and have some amazing people and locations to photograph. The workshop will be a mixture of documentary work and landscape. We will spend time on the bay with the oyster men and women. Photographing the local oyster and fishing culture while it still exists is a very moving experience. There are some amazing opportunities for great images. I have built some great friends over the years.
I have explored all around the bay area over the years and have discovered some fantastic places to photograph, around the bay and in the wilderness areas. This area remains one of the most unique places in Florida, refusing to grow and change overt the years.
The workshop will run March 23 – 25, 2017. We always start early Thursday morning on the bay photographing the oystermen at work. The afternoon will be spent with the oystermen coming in with their harvest. The other days will be spent shooting at sunrise and sunset, around the bay and in the wilderness.
Cost for the full 3 days is $375, food and lodging are not included. There are many places for lodging available. I usually stay at the Sportsmans Lodge, a 50’s style motel with tons of character. A room runs approximately $62-75 per night.
