An image from about a month ago in Roanoke Alabama. I had photographed Shane about 6 or 7 years ago on a prior trip. I recognized him immediately on entering his shop. I really liked the color version, how about you?
I just wanted to ask everyone to pray for safety for all my friends in the Apalachicola Bay area. They are gonna get the hardest part of hurricane Michael. Being on the east side means the highest winds and storm surge. I hope all my friends get out or at least to a shelter. My prayers are with all of you. BE SAFE PLEASE.
I had stopped for gas in Gaylesville, Alabama when I saw Mr. Hughes sitting on the bench out front. After paying for the gas I asked him if I could take his portrait, he obliged. While shooting he told me he turned 90 years old in June. He was hanging out in the 90 degree heat and enjoying himself, everyone who went in said hello and called him by name. He apparently spends a lot of time here.
