An image from the Kelby Worldwide Photowalk in Roanoke Alabama. This was a total accident, Rob was trying to help with his shadow and wound up an important part of the image. A single, double exposure.
I had stopped for gas in Gaylesville, Alabama when I saw Mr. Hughes sitting on the bench out front. After paying for the gas I asked him if I could take his portrait, he obliged. While shooting he told me he turned 90 years old in June. He was hanging out in the 90 degree heat and enjoying himself, everyone who went in said hello and called him by name. He apparently spends a lot of time here.
An image I captured while in Chattanooga a couple weeks back. Robert was waiting at the bus station and let me take his portrait. He was very nice and I gave him a card so he could get me some info. He called a few days later about the print I promised him, got his address and he has it now. Thanks so much Robert.
