My first Christmas photo of 2017. I really enjoyed making this image, it was very tough in the fact I only had 2 trains to use during the blue hour. I varied the shutter speeds and tried to time the opening between cars to show the tree. I am pretty happy with the image.
I was wandering through Oglethorpe, Georgia when I spotted this caboose sitting on the side tracks. It was Saturday and no one was around so I decided to check it out. As you can tell by the peeling paint it has not been used in years. Not sure where it was going or what purpose it might serve. Probably headed too a museum somewhere. It was really cool inside.
I have wanted to get this shot for a few months now and finally went down to the Tallapoosa River. I had to walk down a small road straight down a hill, everything was going great until I reached the bottom. I almost busted my butt from the slick mud down at the bottom. I managed to keep my balance as my foot slid about a foot. The image is definitely worth the chance.
