I had stopped for gas in Gaylesville, Alabama when I saw Mr. Hughes sitting on the bench out front. After paying for the gas I asked him if I could take his portrait, he obliged. While shooting he told me he turned 90 years old in June. He was hanging out in the 90 degree heat and enjoying himself, everyone who went in said hello and called him by name. He apparently spends a lot of time here.
Two images from Chattanooga last week. This is from the parking deck where we parked for the morning. The light and the spiral road leading up made for a really nice image. I liked the color and black and white so I posted both.
A couple of totally different images from a morning ride I made last week. One is from a cornfield near home and the other from an abandoned car wash. Both have their qualities, one pretty and one gritty and dirty. Both have amazing light.
